Monday...Monday

You know your day isn’t going to go as planned when you wake up at 4:00 a.m. to your sick husband in the bathroom asking you to get a bucket!! Nick obviously stayed home from work today. I wish that when I got sick, I could sit in bed and nap and watch t.v. all day! Oh to be a man! It seems as though Nick goes through this a few times a year, he wakes up early in the morning, is sick for a day and then feels fine the next day.
.........................................................
Grace has been into learning people’s real names, like Mommy = Beanie, Daddy = Nick, and today I asked Grace what Sissy’s real name is and she said “Mo-WEEE!” This made Ava laugh, so she continued to call her “Sissy Mo-WEEE” all day. I just thought she was being silly until Nick put two and two together. She is trying to say Sissy Marie (in case you didn’t know, Ava’s middle name is Marie). I just thought that was so cute.
..........................................................
Ava is really pulling herself up now, and quick. She has knocked over many of Grace’s cups already. She also seems to know exactly which cupboards have chemicals in them, because she goes straight for them. Looks like it is time to lock things up! We bought the stuff to do it with Grace, but never needed it. I know I got rid of them, think I gave them to Goodwill.
..........................................................
Okay, time to go put Grace to bed. She is starting to sing along when you sing and her voice is SO precious. I’ll have to try to get it on camera. Her favorites are “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and “On Top of Spaghetti.” She knows every word and it is adorable.
This was right after bath time. Her hair is really to the middle of her back, but the humidity has made it spring up.
Being a goof!

She wanted me to get the camera...she is so proud. We are so proud of her too! Grace is basically potty trained. We still put a pull-up on her at night, but she doesn't have any accidents during the day. She doesn't even use the potty chair anymore.
Ava is climbing up on EVERYTHING!! She even took a stroll around the living room with her shopping cart tonight. She is getting so big. She decided she wants "people" food instead of baby food. She even has had some sips of Grace's whole milk and hasn't had any trouble. It seems like we were just trying everything in the book to soothe her colic.
This is what you get when you ask her to smile. I just hope she is out of this phase by the time school pictures come around! :)
