Growing Brains

Nick and I are always amazed at how quickly kids learn things. Yesterday we asked Grace what her name was and thinking she would just say “Grace”, she said “Grace Miltgen.” Well…the way she says it is Geese Mewtgen. What a cutie pie. We then asked what daddy’s name was and she said Nick Mewtgen.

Ava is growing so quickly too. She is so close to walking it isn’t even funny. She really doesn’t need us, but just sits down once she realizes that someone isn’t holding onto her. She also has just learned to blow kisses. She smacks her lips together so the kisses are really loud. She still babbles a lot, but there are a lot of words that she really understands too. Some of the words are; Mama, Daddy, Bubba, hot dog, uh oh, mmm, more, ball and tub tub time. Ava even sings along to songs and gets the occasional word right at the correct time. We don’t do sign language as much as Grace did, but Ava does use her hands when she wants more.
