Every night this week I have thought about updating the blog and then something always seemed to pull me away from the computer. Nick was in Ann Arbor for work from Tuesday through Thursday and so it was a hectic few days.

Last weekend we went to the zoo with Cortnee and Jackson. It turned out to be a great day. I
thought that the girls would just love it, but they are still a bit too young. They did fine, don’t get me wrong, but they weren’t as excited as I thought. Grace saw a kid with a giant sucker right when we got to the zoo and so she could have cared less about any of the animals, she was on a mission to find this enormous sucker.

We put up the new pool tonight and Ava would yell "bye bye" to everyone that was walking by. Here is an action shot.

Today (June 5th) was Grace and Ava’s first day at day care. They will go to day care on Fridays. Grace was all excited this morning to go and we talked about what it would be like when she got to “school.” They both went in fine, but Grace was really nervous. She was shy and stayed right by me as we went around the room. The teachers said that they both did really well and Grace was sweet, but quiet all day. Little do they know that once she gets comfortable she never stops talking! I had to give the teacher’s pointers like when Grace says “I suck” that’s really her trying to say “it’s stuck!” When Nick and I got there to pick them up they both just started crying. Tonight Grace said she wanted to go back and she had a fun time. Let’s hope each week she likes it more and more.
