Beach Time

Nick and I have anticipated beach days for so long now. When the kids were smaller, we always dreamed that we could spend the whole day at the beach as a family. Last year Ava was too small to really be in the sun and she had colic so it seemed more stressful than anything else.

Nick and I took Wednesday off from work and headed out to the beach. Great day to do that, it was over 90 degrees out! We got to the beach around 9:30 a.m. and got set up. Grace and Ava were fine with the water, as long as we were holding them. Oh darn, we will have to keep going to the beach so they get used to it! Grace and Ava loved playing in the sand. Grace loved making sand castles and then knocking them down.

We left at around 12:30 p.m. to head home and the girls passed right out in the car. They were so exhausted that they both were snoring! Even though Ava was WAY past her nap time, she loved the beach so much she never cried once while we were there.

Ava's favorite snack of the day...sand!
