Grace has been very attached to me lately. I think that we have just been so busy that her normal routine has been turned upside down, which makes her anxious. Last night Nick was at softball and I decided to try out my new Wii Active exercise game. I thought the girls were both sleeping, but as I started the game, I see Grace out of the corner of my eye just sitting on the stairs watching me with her sweet face. I go to bring her back to her room and she started crying. She apparently saw that I had shoes on and thought that I was leaving her! She didn’t understand why I was wearing my shoes. I tried to explain what exercising was, but she didn’t quite get it. Poor girl thought I was leaving her.
That reminds me about when I was little. My mom and dad got in a fight and my mom decided to go for a drive to cool down. I remember going to the bathroom to take her toothbrush. I thought that there was no way she would leave me because she would have to come back for her toothbrush! Oh to be innocent and naïve!
